About the Cause
n May 2013, Chris Dennis was last seen paddling a canoe into the fog on Cayuga Lake just before sunrise. His death, which occurred just weeks before his graduation from Cornell, has left his friends with the commitment to find a way to preserve and remember his compassion for others and his dedication to the environment. To do this, we have decided to come together to design and build a permaculture garden in the backyard of the 660 Stewart Ave Cooperative. This garden will produce food, function as a beautiful open public space, and will foster a strong, lasting connection between the 660 Stewart Cooperative and the Von Cramm Cooperative, which neighbors the garden site.
